Our tap wall rotates through the best of Arizona craft brewing — and now that we're brewing on-site too, you might just find a Hopsology original in the mix. Our wine list pours generously by the glass or bottle, and the cooler's stocked with canned beer, cider, and seltzer from around the country.
Craft Tales are our hand-crafted cocktails, made fresh at the bar. And new this year — rotating frozen slushies, from dole whip to a spicy mango margarita.
Sober or cutting back? We keep a real non-alcoholic beer and wine selection stocked for everyone at the table.

Never brewed before, or just don't want a fermenter taking over your garage? Hopsology's professional-grade brewhouse is open for one-on-one lessons, scheduled classes, and full-blown group brew days. Sessions run 3–4 hours and send you home with roughly 35 cans per 5-gallon batch — custom labels included.

Adam walked into the wrong store in Tucson, AZ. Two hours later, he left with everything he needed to start brewing his own beer. After moving to Phoenix and discovering What Ale's Ya (W.A.Y.), his new go-to homebrew shop, Adam quickly bonded with owner Chuck — helping out at the shop, brewing alongside customers, and slowly dreaming up something bigger: a taproom and social brewery where people could gather, drink good beer, brew together, and take a class or two along the way.
The plan nearly happened in 2020, before the world had other ideas. That same year, Chuck announced his retirement after running What Ale's Ya since 1996, and in January 2021 Adam and his wife Allie bought the shop to keep it alive while they kept building toward the taproom.
In March 2025, Hopsology Taproom & Wine Bar was born, with What Ale's Ya moving in a month later. By January 2026 we'd secured our microbrewery license and taught our first class, officially launching the Social Brewery; in February we joined the Arizona Brewers Guild. We're still growing — one tap, one class, one regular at a time.
Adam & Allie are the husband-and-wife team behind Hopsology — homebrewers first, taproom owners second, and the two people you'll most likely find behind the bar on a Friday night. What started as one very long stop in a Tucson homebrew shop turned into a homebrew supply store, a microbrewery license, and a Phoenix taproom built around the idea that beer is better shared.

Behind the BarIf you know Scott, you know he's one of the coolest guys around and always knows how to pour the perfect pint. Come hang out, grab a delicious AZ craft beer, and let him take care of you.

Behind the BarA Glendale native, Sean proudly served in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a high school social studies teacher. When he's not behind the bar, you'll find him woodworking or playing board games with his wife and their dogs. He's an equal-opportunity drinker with a soft spot for dark beers and a good rye whiskey.
Julio
Behind the BarYou may have noticed a new face — and an epic mustache — behind the bar. Julio's a fantasy & sci-fi fan, a teller of really, really bad jokes, and most importantly, a guy who loves his kids. Come grab an Arizona craft beer, say hi, and please laugh at his jokes — even if you have to fake it. Welcome to the family, Julio.
